Ladies, gentlemen, friends and family.
I ask that you keep your eyes how you prefer your mind... wide open.

The Des Moines Register is bringing legitimacy to our now officially worthy endeavor by putting our story into print. That's right, black and white. This sunday's edition, May 1st, of the Register will feature yours truly as the 'Sunday Spotlight' in the Iowa Life section. Let our little article be a smooth transition from sleep to consciousness while you sip your morning coffee.

The DMR was curious about the ins and outs of our little excursion- and apparently we didn't disappoint.

We can't help but think about all of you that continue to impress us with your kind hearts. May your generosity spread like infectious laughter and follow us all the way to Oregon.

Keep your eyes peeled.

All the best,
The Highway Walkers

Hey there DJ! Time is getting closer for you. Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I am going to be out here praying for you. I always wondered what you would decide to do in life. You are just beginning, kiddo, and I am so glad you are stepping out and looking for adventure. I am excited for your taste of freedom that you both will experience as you move through this great country. Remember who created all the beauty for us ~ know that He is traveling right along beside you. Think of the family that has opened your eyes to be able to SEE what you can have just for asking! Be sure to pass it all on. Some of us will be living through your experiences as we will - most likely - never get to do what you are preparing for. Be smart, have lots of fun and be safe...
